Description of Program: Homeless Solutions, Inc. is a non-profit organization celebrating over fifteen years of meeting the needs of homeless individuals and families through a variety of programs and services. Through the five shelters under the direction of Homeless Solutions, the homeless are provided with food, clothing, transportation, essential personal items, and 24-hour staff support. The programs/shelters include: Family and Women’s Shelter; Men’s Shelter; Safe Haven Shelter; Transitional Housing; and Life Skills and Employment Services.
How the ministry has helped people in need: 
Rose and her young child recently entered the Shelter seeking refuge from domestic violence. Over the next several months the shelter will help her find the support she needs to begin a new and safer life for herself and her child. As she becomes stronger and able to help support herself she will have the opportunity to move into an apartment in the shelter’s Transitional Housing Program and will eventually move into her own apartment.
A month ago, 23-year-old Jeff came to the shelter. Just released from a drug rehab center, he was penniless, and without a job or a home. The Shelter staff helped him find a job and begin a savings plan, enabling him to have his own apartment. Jeff has told the shelter staff that if it were not for them, he would most likely have gone back to his buddies and started using crack again. He is now feeling good about himself and ready to leave the shelter.
